Ottawa police responded to a call at a home on 800 block of Smyth Road near Haig Drive at about 3 a.m. Friday. Police say the elderly man was found dead in the home. One person is in custody. A police cruiser was parked outside a house on Smyth Street shortly before 9 a.m. Friday. No other information has been provided. Police are investigating the murder of an elderly man....

Surrey County Council is to pilot new 20mph and 30mph restrictions in around 80 square miles south of the A25 between Guildford and Dorking. Advocates say the 60mph lanes are often plagued by joyriders racing in 4x4s and scrambler bikes, increasing the risk of collisions with other vehicles. However, the AA questioned whether introducing a “total speed limit” would make country roads safer, adding any restriction to 20mph “only makes sense where there is a specific risk”....

Three men were found with gunshot wounds near a black BMW X5, an SUV that was “connected to all three victims,” according to IHIT. On Friday, homicide police released the names of the victims and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward as they try to find the killer....
Police say Horizon’s Saul Miguel Gutierrez was driving a Corvette that lost control and crashed into the center of the center. According to investigators, Chaparral’s Kayla Nunez was driving a Tahoe that hit the back of a Pontiac Vibe.
