Police are investigating after the 41-year-old was attacked in Forbes Place shortly after 1.30am on Sunday 31 July. A spokesman for the force said it was being supported by “specialist officers” following the incident. An appeal has now been made to help identify the person responsible. The man is described as white, of slim build, in his 30s, with a local accent and long dark hair in a top bun. He is said to have been wearing black jeans, a white T-shirt and dark jeans at the time of the attack. Detective Inspector Gary Sergeant, of Paisley CID, said: “Enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and we are appealing to anyone who may be able to assist our investigation. “If you were in the area at the time of the incident I would urge you to come forward and speak to officers. I would also ask anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage to contact the police.” Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident number 0542 of July 31.
