“A spokesperson said over the weekend that Ann was in stable condition, but the information was inaccurate. She has always been in critical condition, falling into a coma after the accident,” a spokesperson for Hetse told CNN in a statement Monday. “He has a significant lung injury that requires mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgery. He is currently being treated at the Grossman Burn Center.” Earlier Monday, CNN reported that Hetze is under investigation for misdemeanor DUI and hit-and-run, according to LAPD Officer Annie Hernandez. Investigators obtained a warrant for a blood draw the day of the incident. They are still awaiting those results, Hernandez said. Once the investigation is complete, the case will be referred to the LA City Attorney’s office, Hernandez added. Heche’s representative told CNN that she has not yet been able to meet with investigators because of her injuries. Meanwhile, friends of the woman whose home was destroyed in the crash say she ‘escaped bodily harm’. Lynne Mishele was inside her residence when Heche crashed and caught fire, officials told CNN. Neighbors John and Jennifer Durand started a GoFundMe for Mishele to help her rebuild her life. In the description for the fundraiser, the Durands say Mishele lost everything except “a few damaged sentimental items.” “Lynne lives with her beautiful puppies Bree and Rueban and Marley the turtle in the Mar Vista home that was destroyed this week by a car that drove into the home at high speed, catching the house on fire,” the GoFundMe reads. “Lynne and her family narrowly escaped physical harm, and for that we are very, very grateful. The house, however, was completely gutted.” Roy Morgen, another Mishele neighbor, told CNN KCAL/KCBS that Heche’s car stopped about “two meters away from where she was sitting.” “She was pretty lucky,” Morgen said of Mishele. “She’s in shock… it still hasn’t hit her yet. There’s nothing left in the house. Everything was broken.” “Lynne lost her entire life with possessions, memorabilia, all the equipment for her business,” the GoFundMe reads. “With the help of the firefighters, he was able to pull some damaged sentimental items from the wreckage. Everything else is gone.” CNN has reached out to Mishele and the Durands for comment. Hetze suffered “severe burns and has a long recovery ahead,” a source told CNN. “Her team and her family are still trying to process what led up to the crash.”
