Participants started egg hunting at the Ermatinger site and ended up at the Entomica Insectarium inside the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Center. The event included a variety of scavenger hunts, crafts, delicacies and child-friendly bug reports. Local farms also provided some of their animals for the children to interact with. Kathy Fisher, curator of the National Historic Site, is thrilled to see families leaving home to enjoy the Easter weekend. “It’s just nice to be open again,” says Fisher. “We have been missing to organize such events in recent years. “It’s great to welcome everyone back.”
