In the coming weeks, Apple Maps is focusing on exploring cities and towns in Saskatchewan. According to Apple’s website, 18 communities are to be investigated in Saskatchewan. They include:
Assiniboia Battleford Estevan Kindersley La Ronge Lloydminster Maple Creek Melfort Melville Moose jaw North Battleford Prince Albert Queen Saskatoon Fast current Weyburn Wynyard Yorkton
Apple will censor faces and license plates in images posted to Look Around.
The company said the imagery would be collected primarily using Apple Maps vehicles, but some pedestrian areas would require the use of handheld systems. Surveys in the selected communities will begin on August 8 and then conclude on September 30. Residents can contact Apple to request that a person, license plate or house be censored if it was captured in the search process by emailing [email protected]
