Archie is found unconscious by his mother after an incident at their home in Essex. He was taken to Southend Hospital.
April 8
Archie was taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel where he has been treated ever since.
April 26
The NHS trust that runs the Royal London is launching High Court proceedings asking Archie to undergo a brain stem test.
May 13
Ms Justice Arbuthnot rules that a brain stem test should be carried out.
May 16
Two specialists attempt to administer brainstem function tests, but are unsuccessful as Archie has failed a peripheral nerve stimulation test, a precursor to brainstem testing.
May 25
A hearing is held to decide if further MRIs should be done. Archie’s parents did not consent on the basis that moving Archie could harm him.
May 27
The court approves further MRI scans, which take place on May 31.
June 6-8
A final hearing is being held to hear evidence on whether Archie’s life support treatment should continue.
June 13

A new High Court evidentiary hearing is being held before Mr Justice Hayden.

Mr Justice Hayden ruled that the life-support treatment should end, saying it was “futile” to continue.

Three Court of Appeal judges uphold Supreme Court ruling that treatment can be terminated.
July 28
The Supreme Court rules out intervention in the case and supports the decision of the Court of Appeal.
