President Biden will build a section of the border wall in Yuma, Arizona, despite a campaign pledge not to add “another foot of wall … to my administration” — in what one Arizona lawmaker said is the White House’s effort House to show that it cares about the open borders that they created in the first place. Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., told “Hannity” Friday that Biden is engaging in midterm “showmanship” by adding a few hundred feet and possibly claiming he’s doing something about the border crisis. “The Morelos Dam has a lot of traffic, but this is an election year kind of a symbol for them. That’s all,” he said, referring to a structure not far from where Arizona, California and Mexico meet, near Los Algondones, Baja. . But Biggs predicted that if the wall is built near the dam, many of the estimated 1,000 illegal immigrants a day who flood into Yuma will simply cross over to the Cocopah Indian Reservation. So they’re not going to achieve much.” But Biden and Democrats will use the “symbolic” construction as an effort to claim they are serious about the illegal immigration crisis, Rep. Gilbert reiterated.
