A man has been arrested in connection with the incident after the animals were found at an address in the city on Sunday afternoon, Avon and Somerset police said in a statement. Police were searching for the dogs after police patrolled two men on Bishport Avenue in Hartcliffe around 10:50 a.m. Sunday, saying they had been injured by two dogs. The couple went to the hospital for treatment for their injuries, while police, including armed officers, conducted searches in the area to try to find the dogs. There were no reports of further injuries. The force described the two dogs as “large, aggressive dogs that roam free” and said they should not approach them if they were spotted. One, who was reportedly injured, is described as light brown with spots, while the other is said to be dark brown. The public was asked to keep unaccompanied children away from the Hartcliffe area as the search continued.
