The body of Diana Theodore, 72, was discovered at her home in Choiseul, St Lucia in the early hours of Saturday morning along with her dog. Ms Theodore, who has been described by neighbors as a community activist, was found dead at her home on Saturday. A neighbor in the community where Ms. Theodore has lived for more than 30 years said she was reported missing by a friend she lives with. She moved to Saint Lucia from the UK and has a daughter. “She came to us and said she hadn’t seen her, so we all went looking for her but we couldn’t find her,” the neighbor recalled. “We all searched for her as she is always at home. It’s not like she can’t be seen in this small village. She was friendly and has lived in Morne Sion for many years.” After an extensive search in the area and the intervention of the police, Ms. Thodoris was found tied under her bed in a pool of blood with a head injury. Her dog was also found dead in the house.

“Everyone is just in shock”

“She was a very nice person, every time you saw her she was smiling, her teeth always out,” said another resident. “She is such a fine lady for her to be treated like this. Everyone is shocked and very sad because she is such a nice lady and she didn’t deserve this at all. Such things do not happen in Choiseul.’ He has a daughter who is a university lecturer in the UK. She will be informed of her mother’s death. A police spokesman in St. Lucia said they were investigating the murder. “Police are continuing to investigate the homicide that occurred over the weekend. We are following all lines of inquiry and will leave no stone unturned. We will speak to everyone who knew the deceased and hopefully get to the bottom of it. No one will be excluded from our research. We hope to find a motive for this killing and we will go from there.”
