Jonada Avdia was swimming in the sea with her father in Potam, in the south of the country, when she was hit as the police officer allegedly made “dangerous manoeuvres”. Edi Rama, Albania’s prime minister, is facing demands to resign amid growing public anger over Jonada’s death. It is the third incident involving speedboats on Albanian beaches this summer.
