The first early access beta starts on September 16-17 for PlayStation 4 and 5 players who pre-ordered the game. Next up is the open beta for all PlayStation players, which starts on September 18th and ends on the 20th. The crossplay beta for players who pre-ordered the game on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC will run from September 22nd to 23rd, while the crossplay open beta for all platforms starts on September 24th and ends on September 26th. Each session begins at 1 p.m. ET. At CDL Champs, Infinity Ward also introduced a new multiplayer map, called Grand Prix, set on a track. The map will be available to play during the beta. If you haven’t pre-ordered the game, Infinity Ward says you’ll have the chance to get a beta code that will give you early access. While he already gave out some codes during the tournament today, you’ll have a better chance of grabbing one from various streamers and YouTubers until the beta start date. We got our first look at Modern Warfare II back in June, but Infinity Ward is set to reveal a lot more about the upcoming game at the Call of Duty: Next event (including a full multiplayer reveal), which takes place on September 15. Modern Warfare II launches on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC (via Battle.net and Steam) on October 28.
