An advisory has been issued regarding wildfire concerns in Central Newfoundland. Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture are asking those in the area to implement an emergency plan, and those living in wooded areas are being asked to evacuate as a precaution. High temperatures and strong winds are expected in the region, increasing the risk of current wildfires spreading or starting new ones. There are currently five active wildfires in Central. The area is being closely monitored and crews are ready to respond if needed.
