A Chicago police officer was injured Saturday night after being hit by a stolen car while trying to stop traffic, authorities said. (Scott Olson / Getty Images) The stolen vehicle initially fled before being stopped due to traffic, according to authorities. When police approached the vehicle on foot, the unknown driver drove to the curb and hit the officer before speeding away. 3 KANSA SHOOT REPLACEMENTS, SUSPECTED DE The officer was injured in the leg and was rushed to Northwestern Hospital in good condition. No arrests have been made until Sunday morning. The investigation is ongoing.
