During a segment on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” on Sunday, host Brian Stelter discussed Hunter Biden being under federal investigation with guest Michael LaRosa, former press secretary to First Lady Jill Biden. The debate was sparked when Stelter cited a New York Times column by Maureen Dowd urging the president not to run for re-election. He then cited the Justice Department looking into Hunter’s alleged tax violations and business dealings. “What about his son?” Stelter asked. “What’s going on with Hunter? Hunter under federal investigation, charges could come at any time, this isn’t just a right-wing media story. This is a real problem for the Bidens.” LA TIMES URGES EXECUTIVE AUTHORITY TO DECLARE ‘NATIONAL CLIMATE EMERGENCY’ Joe Biden’s brother-in-law, Jack Owens, emailed Hunter in 2014 to help him obtain a Chinese business license. He’s not focused on that,” LaRosa responded.
