St. John’s Regional Fire Department crews are battling an outbreak at the regional landfill in Robin Hood’s Bay. This comes as hot, dry conditions are fueling wildfires raging in central Newfoundland, and the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture is expanding a province-wide ban on open fires.
