According to County Sheriff Harris Ed Gonzalez, the body was found Sunday along Cypress Creek in 18400 Square on Mossforest Drive near Shady Stream. The person is believed to be in his 20s. Sgt. Jason Brown said the body had been on the spot for weeks and had begun to disintegrate. Neighbors who live nearby say it is annoying. “It’s very scary as a resident of this community. “It raises a lot of questions,” said Crystal Martinez. Martinez says she was shocked to learn that two fishermen had discovered a corpse along the river. It is an area that Martinez and her family have walked in the past. “It was crazy news for us,” he said. “We have small children coming in and out on their bicycles and we try to tell them, ‘Don’t go through the neighbors.’ Harris County Sheriff’s Office did not release a description of the victim. one D Investigators are treating the case as homicide. “Either he was placed out there or the person died out there. Since he’s been out there for a while, we had rain in the meantime. It is a very wooded area, a lot of animal activity. “Therefore, it is difficult to decipher the scene in terms of how the person was found,” Brown said. Detectives say it will be up to the medical examiner’s office to determine if there are any signs of injury. Neighbors tell us they would like to see more MPs patrolling the area, especially at night. Copyright 2022 by KPRC Click2Houston – All rights reserved.
