Slow moving traffic occurred along Coquihalla Highway at Larson Hill on Sunday July 3, 2022. Delays are expected throughout the day on the Coquihalla Freeway as people return to the Lower Mainland after the BC Day weekend. BC Transportation and DriveBC warned travelers at the start of the weekend to be prepared for very slow traffic on Monday due to volume combined with ongoing construction. Adding to the volume is everyone leaving Rockin River Fest, which wrapped up last night in Merritt. DriveBC has issued a travel advisory for Highway 5 between Merritt and Hope. He says drivers should expect congestion and delays of more than two hours at peak times.
