Drive BC reports that heavy traffic is expected this weekend through August 1, and drivers can expect traffic jams and delays of more than two hours during peak travel times. The joint venture to repair the section is expected to begin in early August and should be completed by the fall. The section is located approximately three kilometers north of the junction of the 3 and 5 freeways. About 460 meters of the southbound lanes were washed away.
