Ike Nicholas Souzer, 18, who escaped from custody in April 2019 for one day, was convicted in June of that year of manslaughter for the negligent murder of his mother in 2017 when he was 13 years old. While on trial in the juvenile court for the murder of his 47-year-old mother, Barbara Scheuer-Souzer, he escaped from the juvenile room in Orange shortly after midnight on April 12, 2019 and was arrested the next day at a McDonald’s restaurant. in Anaheim.
