The BC Wildfire Service is responding to a fire on Minaberriet Creek located approximately 10 kilometers southwest of Ashcroft. According to their Twitter account, no structures or infrastructure are at risk at this time. The fire is currently seven hectares in size and is a Grade 1 burn. Ground personnel as well as helicopters have responded to the scene and the tanker operation has been completed. The cause of the fire is unknown and the fire department is investigating the origin and cause.
