Firefighters were called to set fire to a house on Blake Avenue shortly after 11pm on Easter Sunday. Firefighters battled the initial fire as heavy smoke escaped from the top of the house. Several witnesses who lived just a few feet below heard a loud bang before noticing the fire. Emergency services closed Blake Avenue between Wawanosh and Oryme Ave. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. No injuries were reported.
