Craig Watson, 39, was found seriously injured in the Whitevale Gardens in Denistun shortly after midnight on Sunday morning, April 17th.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, but the 39-year-old was unfortunately pronounced dead. His family was informed of his tragic death and a report will be sent to the Finance Prosecutor. Police treat Craig’s death as “unexplained”, but believe he may have been attacked after being involved in a “fight with many people”. Anyone with information is required to show up, with police asking several young people in the area before and after midnight to contact them. Chief Inspector Cameron Miller, Major Investigation Team, Police Scotland, said: “Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of Mr Watson’s death, but at this time we believe he was attacked after being involved in a dispute with a number of people in the Whitevale Gardens area shortly before being found injured. “Whitevale Gardens is a residential area and I’m sure the locals would either have seen or heard what happened and I would urge them to show up if they have not already done so. “From our investigation so far, we know that there were several young people in the area before and after midnight, Saturday night to Sunday morning. It is extremely important that these young people contact the police and give any details that can help us. . “Information can be passed to officers via 101 with reference number 0126 on Sunday, April 17, 2022. Alternatively, details can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. “We have also created a website that gives members of the public access to a form for submitting information directly to the Large Research Team.
