Police named the victim as Dale Simmons, 42, whose body was found in an area near Chalk Pit Hill in Chatham, Kent, at about 11 a.m. Thursday. Kent police said he is believed to have died between 6pm and 8pm the night before. Kent police said on Saturday they believed he died of his injuries from a fall. Announcing the charges on Sunday, police confirmed that all four suspects were believed to be known to the victim. They are Tyrese Scott, 18, from Chatham, a 17-year-old boy and two 16-year-old boys. They will appear in Medway’s court on Monday. Police appealed to witnesses to the events that led to the death of the victim and asked motorists with dashboards and residents with private closed circuit television to check for video between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday, if he can help with the investigation.
