Salma Hayek will replace Thandiwe Newton in the upcoming “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” for Warner Bros. Pictures recently launched in London. A Warners spokesman said in a statement that Newton had made the difficult decision to leave the production to pursue family matters. The film marks the third and final feature film to see Channing Tatum return as male stripper Mike Lane after the first film of 2012 and the 2015 sequel “Magic Mike XXL”. The franchise also created a lucrative stage show. Steven Soderbergh, who wrote and directed the first film but only wrote the second, returns to both the script and the direction of this third entry. At the moment, the plan is to premiere “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” exclusively on HBO Max.
