Before I got to Malenia, a notoriously tough boss in the Elden Ring, I had already heard a little about the player called “Let me solo her”, who – as his name suggests – is fully capable of tackling the two-phase enemy on his own. I was surprised to find their call sign last night and even more glad that they were not called quickly by many other players who had read everything about their abilities (they wore almost nothing for protection and hold two katanas). They came to my game and it was like watching a celebrity. They were already shaking. I used my pate and said: “You are beautiful”. We walked together on the battlefield. I was so excited to have “Let me solo her” in my game that, in fact, I did not let them solo. Like Bizarro at Sealab 2021, I thought I was helping by sending some Swarm of Flies spells into the ring. They left my game immediately in the middle of the battle. I was almost immediately immersed in the game – and in real life – knowing that I was trying to be a duo with the solo master. I was even gestured to stay behind. Why could I not heed the warning? After many repetitions of myself, I fell back on their call sign and this time, I knew how to stay behind and watch them masterfully download this boss. The legend of “Let me solo her” is alive and well. Just sit back, relax and do not try to help.
