Northumbria police officers arrived at the scene shortly after 4:30 p.m. Saturday (April 16) following reports of a knife near the Snooker Center on Durham Street. A man was found injured in an attack and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A police investigation into the incident is now under way with police looking for two suspects in connection with the knife. Police remained at the scene Sunday morning as investigations continued. Modernize: A 33-year-old man was arrested in connection with a alleged knife in Gateshead A spokesman for the force said: “We were called to Durham Road in Gateshead shortly after 4.30pm. following reports of a man being stabbed at the Snooker Center on Durham Road. The victim was transported to the hospital without risking his life. injured and our investigations into the incident are ongoing. ” He added that the victim reported that two people were allegedly involved in the incident. No arrests have been made so far and investigations are underway to locate them.
