Police have arrested a second man after a seriously injured man was found lying on the side of the road in Brantham. The man, who is in his 50s, was found with severe head injuries by Rowley Close shortly after 4.35pm on Saturday morning, Suffolk police said. He was taken to Adenbrook Hospital in Cambridge by ambulance, but his condition has improved and he has been able to speak to police. Detectives believe that the injured person is very likely to have been involved in a collision with a car that did not stop, but they keep an open mind. Police on Saturday confirmed that a man in his 20s had been arrested in connection with the incident and was taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Center for questioning. A second man, also about 20 years old, was arrested later, police added. Both were released on bail until Thursday, May 12.
