She “smelled of alcohol and had glazed over eyes” and when officers urged her to calm down, she tried to punch the woman. For the first attack, Radcliffe pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer, obstructing police and using threatening behaviour. She admitted being drunk and disorderly during the second incident in court. The mum-of-two was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for two years. Radcliffe hit the headlines when her ailing ex, Dale McLauglan, jet-skied across the Irish Sea to visit her in lockdown in December 2020. The couple had planned to marry but split just three months after his reckless 25-mile trip. Before the attack on April 24, officers went to Radcliffe’s home in Douglas, Isle of Man, on an unrelated matter that was not pursued. He was in the garden at the time and, as he was arrested, pushed a police officer. Radcliffe was handcuffed and led into a police van before becoming aggressive, refusing to enter the van and again pushing an officer. She is said to have been shouting and cursing as she used her legs to block the van door from closing. Officers had to use Pava spray – similar to pepper spray – to restrain her. Radcliffe kicked one officer in the face before spitting in the face of another officer. She dug her nails into his arm, swore and threatened the second terror attack officer. In an interview with police, Radcliffe said the officers hurt her hands and kept asking them to put her down before she lost her temper. He denied attacking the officers and said he had just sat on the van’s bumper as he wanted a minute to calm down. Radcliffe said she had a problem with people touching her hands since she went to prison for previous offences, the High Sheriff’s Court at the Isle of Man Magistrates Court. She told police: “I am the one who was attacked.
TERROR ATTACK
“Did you see my hands?” In court, he admitted two counts of assaulting a police officer, three counts of obstructing police and one count of threatening behaviour. Then on May 7, cops were on patrol at 12.40am. when they encountered Radcliffe engaged in a fight with another woman in the street. Radcliffe swore and shouted “I’m going to kill you” as she tried to grab the other woman. “He smelled of alcohol and had glazed over eyes,” a court heard. The officers tried to calm her down but she refused. He then tried to punch the woman. Radcliffe was subsequently arrested and made no reply under caution. Radcliffe pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly. Defense barrister Louise Cooil said the offenses took place in April after officers arrested her for matters not resolved following a “malicious complaint made against her”. Ms Cooil said her client suffered from anxiety and a doctor had indicated a possible diagnosis of PTSD. Deputy Chief Justice James Brooks sentenced Radcliffe to six months in custody, suspended for two years. He pressed her, “I hope the work you’re undertaking with probation will ensure a crime-free life in the future, but ultimately that’s not their job, that’s your job.” Radcliffe was ordered to pay £250 in court costs with £10 per week deducted from benefits. Radcliffe was also fined £200 for being drunk and disorderly while on bail for the police assaults. Mr Brooks banned her from premises for six months and ordered her to pay £250 compensation to each of the two police officers. In December last year, Radcliffe was released from prison four months early so she could spend Christmas with her children. She was freed on November 8 – just three months and 21 days after serving an eight-month sentence for assaulting another woman, The Sun can reveal. Mum-of-two Radcliffe and her friend Leanna Louise Bradley, 33, forced their way into a woman’s home before punching and kicking her while her children were upstairs at 9.45am. on March 31, 2021. The pair then grabbed and assaulted a police officer while being arrested at the scene. In July, Radcliffe was jailed for eight months after admitting assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assaulting a police officer and criminal damage. But Radcliffe confirmed she is now back on the streets, after sharing a Facebook post about everything being “good”. 6 Radcliffe, 31, had to be restrained by officers after she spat in one officer’s face and kicked another on April 24 6 McLaughlan Recklessly Crossed the Irish Sea on a Jet SkiCredit: Facebook 6 A second incident saw Radcliffe swearing and shouting ‘I’m going to kill you’ at a woman in a drunken attack in the early hours of May 7 Credit: Facebook
