On Wednesday, 79-year-old Biden happily announced that he had recovered and tested negative for the coronavirus after five days in quarantine. However, on Saturday, his White House doctor revealed that he had once again tested positive for the virus, although he was said to be asymptomatic and feeling “pretty well”. Mr Biden was taking the drug Paxlovid, which has reported numerous cases of effectively reducing the Covid viral load only to have it rebound once the drug is stopped. Mr Biden will now continue isolation procedures once again and his positive test is believed to be the positivity experienced by some Covid patients, according to Dr Kevin O’Connor.
