Other charges and charges filed against White were dismissed, Risling told CNN. He was previously charged with attempted murder and conspiracy to commit robbery, according to the DA’s office. The Feb. 24 shooting and dog nap were captured on dramatic surveillance video that showed at least two men chasing Ryan Fisher, who was walking the star’s three French bulldogs. A physical altercation ensued. The video shows one attacker restraining the victim as another appears to point a gun. A gunshot is then heard and the victim falls backwards while the attackers run back to a car. Fisher, who was hit by gunfire and seriously injured, survived the attack.

The suspect who was accidentally released from custody was re-arrested

The attackers took two of the dogs, Koji and Gustav, but were rescued days later after the singer offered a $500,000 reward. White and four others were arrested weeks later in connection with the shooting and robbery. They included two people who later faced accessory charges. One of the suspects, James Jackson, was mistakenly released by police in April due to what officials called a “clerical error.” Jackson was found and taken into custody Wednesday following an investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies, including the US Marshals Service, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. Jackson is being held for attempted murder. Charges are pending against a third suspect in the case. CNN’s Nouran Salahieh contributed to this report.
