A woman who tragically died in a fire in Mabel Lake over the weekend has been identified as Katherine McIlravey. On its Facebook page, Sitara Liquor Store in Lake Country said: “It is with great sadness that we announce her passing. Katherine succumbed to her injuries from a tragic accident in the early morning hours of July 31, 2022, passing on August 1, 2022. “ According to the report, McIlravey was the manager of the store for more than seven years. “Kat put her heart and soul” into her work, “which showed to all the customers and patrons,” the post continued. “Everyone who knew Katherine knew how lively and excited she was about a new day in her life. Katherine was full of life, light, joy, positivity, all qualities that were evident to everyone after just one meeting with Kat. “Catherine, you will be missed more than words or actions can say.” The store and staff expressed their “deep, sincere condolences to Kathryn’s family”. Services are still being planned at this time.
