Last night around 2am, Lake took to Twitter to challenge Democratic gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs. Before the confirmed lead, Lake told crowds at a campaign rally that she was “winning this 100%” and that “there is no path to victory for my opponent. We won this match.” Some of her supporters were seen praying in a circle around 10pm In early July, Lake announced on Twitter that former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio had endorsed her with three weeks left in the race. “Sheriff Joe knows the damage that rampant crime and immigration can do to this state. I will not back down in my fight to secure our borders and defend Arizona. They called Joe, “America’s Toughest Sheriff.” I will be his toughest skipper,” Lake tweeted. At the same time, Robson was endorsed by Gov. Doug Ducey. He announced his support via video on Twitter saying: “No surprises with Karrin. She’s a lifelong conservative Republican that got her to work for President Ronald Reagan.” He also supported Robson’s policies of being “Pro-Life, Pro-Gun and Pro-Wall”.
