The list of EU / EEA countries that have abandoned their measures and now allow non-EU travelers to enter without restrictions is as follows:
The Czech Republic Denmark Hungary Iceland Ireland Latvia Norway Poland Romania Slovenia Sweden
Travelers from non-EU countries can currently enter the 11 EU / EEA countries mentioned above regardless of their vaccination status, according to SchengenVisaInfo.com. This means that non-EU travelers are not required to provide a valid COVID pass – a certificate of vaccination, recovery or examination – when arriving in one of these countries. All they have to do now is have the necessary travel documents, such as a valid passport and visa, if required. Apart from being allowed to enter these countries without restrictions, travelers outside the EU no longer need to worry about domestic COVID-19 measures, as the majority have lifted them. Travelers from third countries as well as those traveling within the EU are no longer required to have a vaccination, recovery or examination certificate when accessing bars, cafes, restaurants, museums, theaters, shopping malls and other major events. In addition to the countries mentioned above, Greece will also soon lift entry restrictions for third-country travelers. Greek Health Minister Thanos Plevris stated that from May 2, all travelers, regardless of their country of origin, will be allowed to enter without restrictions. In addition, they noted that in addition to allowing unrestricted entry to incoming travelers, domestic measures for COVID-19 will also be lifted. Travelers arriving in Greece during the summer will not be required to have a valid COVID-19 certificate when accessing different public places and events. On the other hand, some other famous destinations such as Spain, France, Portugal, Italy and Germany still maintain the restrictions. Third-country travelers must provide valid proof when arriving in these countries in order to avoid additional entry measures. The decision of the above-mentioned EU / EEA countries to facilitate their travel and domestic rules follows the improvement of the situation of COVID-19 on the continent. Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) show that the European continent has reported 6,448,828 new cases of COVID-19 infection in the last seven days. In terms of vaccination rates, the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) reveals that a total of 890,580,539 doses of vaccine have been administered to EU / EEA countries to date. It is explained that 72.5 percent of the population has completed the initial course and another 52.9 percent has received an additional dose of vaccine.
