As of 10:45 p.m., three adults and a child had been taken to safety by firefighters from the 16th floor of Nauls Mill House on Middleborough Street in Coundon. They were given special fire hoods to wear as crews drove them from the property. The fire broke out on the 15th floor of the tower building. The West Midlands Fire Department was called to the scene at 8:47 p.m. and arrived within minutes. Seventeen response vehicles rushed to the scene tonight, including 13 fire trucks, including some from Birmingham. West Midlands Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were also on the scene, along with representatives of Coventry City Council. It is not yet known how many people were in the square at the time of the fire or if there were any injured. This is a breaking case. See below for updates.
