Lizzo can officially add “comedy genius” to her resume after hosting On Saturday night live this week.
She did it for the first time as a hostess and made history on the show as the first woman to be introduced as the guest of music.
Usually, when one is both the host and the musician guest, it is recommended by SNL cast members or special guests. Like when Billie Eilish was introduced by her parents!
NBC Billie was the host and musician guest in December 2021.
And Lizzo had some help! Her mom was in the audience and presented her second performance.

But there was no one better than Lizzo herself to present her performance in her latest single, “About Damn Time”.
NBC So will I enter the rooms from now on? It may.
On Sunday morning, Lizzo confirmed that she was the first hostess to ever do this.

Crossed fingers that Lizzo returns to present and play soon, to introduce herself again!
UPDATE: Lizzo is not actually the first person to be introduced as a music guest, but she is the first woman to do so. She wrote on Twitter her correction on Sunday afternoon:
