Police and paramedics were called about 6:30 a.m. to an injured man in the area, police said. The man was taken to hospital but died soon after, according to police. Few other details were released, but officers in multiple cruisers and forensics vehicles were in the parking lot of the Home Depot on Dundas Street near Clarke Street throughout the day. Investigators paid particular attention to a pile of material, perhaps clothing, on the ground and a brown stain on a nearby curb. Two officers collected several items, while the third photographed the scene. A Home Depot manager said staff members hadn’t seen anything. The store opens at 7am on Sunday, but the entrance is a few hundred meters from the site of the investigation.
