The accident happened in the municipality of Anjou, near Bombardier Street. The driver, a 33-year-old man, allegedly lost control of his vehicle after the collision before ending up in the middle of the highway around 7:15 p.m. He was seriously injured and taken to Sacré-Coeur Hospital, where authorities said his life was out of danger until the end of the night. The two passengers in the vehicle that hit, aged 18 and 27, were slightly injured. The driver could face driving problems and dangerous driving charges, said Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesman Nicolas Scholtus. Blood samples were taken at the hospital. Police said alcohol was involved. SQ investigators rushed to the scene for further investigation.
