The man, whom the Guardian calls Andrew (not his real name), says he met Khan at a birthday party in Suffolk in August 2015. He claims that Khan, then in his 40s, offered to have oral sex and to take him to a hotel room to get cocaine and hire a sex worker. Andrew recounted his story after Khan was convicted Monday of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy after wearing jeans at a party in 2008. Khan announced his resignation on Thursday, prompting a run-off election in Wakefield, Yorkshire. Andrew’s mother, who was also at the party with her partner, told the Guardian she told Khan to stay away from her son after telling her about the oral sex proposal. The mother’s partner said and he told Khan to back off and that it was “inappropriate” to talk to Andrew that way. Another adult guest at the party told the Guardian that he also advised Khan in a similar way. Another person who worked at the event said that he remembered that he was told about the incident afterwards and that it was “talk of the party”. The event took place on eaves and tents in a field in Suffolk. Andrew says he first spotted Khan sitting by a fire and looking “out of his face”. He claims that he asked Khan if he was OK and that Khan said that his friends had given him “too many pills”. The next day, Andrew joined a group of people who heard Khan tell a story about his work as a mediator between the UK government and the Taliban. “He said he was shot and blown up while traveling in a vehicle hit by an IED. [improvised explosive device] “And then he picked up his shirt to show us some scars,” Andrew said. “He asked me to touch them and I put my finger on one of the resolutions.” He claims that Khan asked him about his sexuality. Andrew said he was right, only Khan replied that he believed sexuality was “in a range”. He claims that Khan later offered to give him “the best blowjob of your life”. The teenager then told his mother what had happened, prompting her and her partner to intervene. Hahn later complained to Andrew that he had been “told” and asked why he had told his mother. “I told him it made me feel uncomfortable and it was a little weird. “He asked me why it was weird, and I said, ‘I’m only 16,’” Andrew said. He replied: “it does not matter, you are legal”. Andrew claims that Khan asked him if he had ever done “DP” (double penetration). He said no. He claims that Khan then said something like “why don’t we hang out and have fun?” before offering to close a hotel in Henley, he bought a lot of cocaine and a prostitute and ‘fuck all weekend’. At the time, Andrew said he felt “really uncomfortable. I did not know how to get it. I was only 16. “ He went on to say that he had mistreated friends and did not think much about it until this week when he saw that Khan had been convicted of sexually abusing a 15-year-old. Andrew said: “The story appeared on the BBC app and I saw a picture of it and I thought ‘gamma’, it’s him. And Christ, this guy is an MP. “It’s probably the farthest thing from the kind of person you want to represent, a pedophile offering drugs to a 16-year-old and trying to get him to fuck a prostitute.” He said he was motivated to appear after learning that Khan was planning to appeal his conviction and read Khan’s defense at trial as he tried to explain why he had discussed pornography with his 15-year-old victim. Khan’s lawyer said he asked the boy what pornography he watched to find out where his “real sexual tendencies” were, after the young man told him he was confused about his sexuality. “When I read his defense, saying that he was just trying to help the boy come to terms with his sexuality, intending to offer him support and comfort, I just thought: this is the same pattern of behavior that motivated me,” he said. Andrew. “It simply came to our notice then. “I would be very easy if I was not surrounded by adults.” Khan’s lawyers said Thursday afternoon that they had advised him not to comment on Andrew’s allegations, “given the ongoing criminal proceedings against our client”. Half an hour later, he resigned as an MP, saying that now he will focus exclusively on clearing his name. [email protected]
