Chatham-Kent police responded to a call Friday morning on Camden Street in Dresden.
When police arrived, they noticed that the side door of the house had been kicked and found a man and a woman inside.
Police arrested him for both burglary and entry.
During the investigation, the police said that the man was in possession of a suspicious substance methamphetamine.
The 38-year-old man from Dresden was charged with burglary, entering a residence for committing an offense and possession of a controlled substance.
The 38-year-old also from Dresden was accused of burglary, invading a house to commit a crime.
Both were released pending future trials.
