Damian West, 21, is charged with manslaughter in a felony and aggravated assault. The plan for his cup was released on Saturday. According to the Houston Police Department, the chase began when officers tried to stop a driver at a HEB on the 1000 block of Kempwood Drive in northwest Houston. Officers located West in a group that agreed to occupy the street. West then drove police into a high-speed chase before he allegedly overtook a red light, hit a car and caused a chain collision with several nearby vehicles. The multi-vehicle collision occurred at 15300 Hempstead Road near West Little York, officials said. The victim who died from the crash was an innocent passer-by, said HPD Assistant Chief Ban Tien. A female passenger in the car was taken to hospital in critical condition. one D Police said a total of five vehicles were involved in the crash.
