Around 1:15 p.m. in the park, south of the Bow River, the CP train hit a man walking on the railroad tracks, CP said in a statement. Calgary police said the man appeared to be jogging on the runways with headphones when he was hit. The EMS responded, but the man was found dead at the scene.
