65 mins: Stellar defends at one end as Konate stands firm to block Sterling’s cross after Liverpool were momentarily taken prisoner. Ake then ensures that Salah will not be able to clear the shot after a dangerous low ball from Mane. 1650124332 60 minutes: City dominate the possession at the moment, trying patiently and waiting for another opening to possibly end the stands. 1650124211 58 minutes: Manet enters the book now for a cynical journey to Fernandinho. The time is approaching at Wembley, with De Bruyne preparing to enter the battle. 1650124154 55 min: Quarrels break out after a fierce challenge from Fernandinho to Manet. The City captain – always a master at avoiding yellows – was usually very lucky that he was not already in the book, but he certainly will be now. Wondering if Pep will consider taking him off quickly in an effort to avoid a possible reduction in the 10 men. 1650123842 52 minutes: Action at both ends at Wembley as Ake turns behind a dangerous foul on Dutch compatriot Van Dyke, who almost reached his head in the corner. Van Dijk then does enough to recover and eliminate Jesus, with Ake almost touching Foden’s corner. 1650123687 49 minutes: City are much livelier at the start of this second half, as they plan the most incredible comebacks. Both Keita and Fambino now have yellow cards, as the former went high on Fernandinho. 1650123587

47 minutes: City repulsed within two minutes of restarting! Fernandinho feeds Jesus, who asks him to shoot, and turns terribly inside Fambinius before hitting Grealis, who is thrown out of the box into the house. Does the game start? Exactly what was asked of Guardiola’s men. ΑΠ1650123269

Manchester City apologizes for breaking Hillsborough silence

A Manchester City spokesman has apologized to Liverpool after a small group of fans continued to sing during the minute of silence before the match in memory of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster. Gary Lineker tells the BBC that the minute was cut by referee Michael OIiver as a result. “Manchester City are extremely disappointed with the actions of some City fans during the one-minute silence before today’s game,” said a City spokesman. “The club sincerely apologizes to all those associated with the Liverpool Football Club.”
