The shots were fired at an AirBnB property rented on Madison Avenue shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday. Authorities estimate that there were about 200 people in the house. About 50 bullets were fired into the house, forcing attendees to jump out of windows and suffer broken bones and injuries. A total of 11 victims, including both dead, were taken to local hospitals. The search is underway in the North Side neighborhood, known locally as Deutschtown. Police said there are currently eight separate crime scenes where evidence is being gathered. Residents in the area said they saw hundreds of people on the streets with a massive police response after the shooting on Easter morning.
