The devastated mother of schoolgirl Lilia Valutyte has recalled the horrific moment she found her nine-year-old daughter suffering from a fatal stab wound. Lina Savicke, 35, said she was inside her needlework shop in Boston, Lincolnshire, when she heard someone scream “mum”. Savicke frantically ran outside to find Lilia bleeding from a stab wound as her distraught five-year-old sister stood by her side. “I go out and see how my little girl was standing a meter away from the big one and she was bleeding to death,” Lina told the Sunday Mirror. Lina revealed that the mother of Lithuanian Davida Skembas, 22, who is accused of Lilia’s murder, called her to offer her support. “His mother called… I heard he comes from a very good family. He promised to take care of everything he can,” Lina said of her conversation with Skeba’s mother, Daiva. July 28. Police officers were seen running towards Lila, followed by paramedics who rushed to the little girl with their first aid kits in a desperate attempt to save her. Shocked residents were then seen gathering at the scene in Fountain Lane before being led away by an officer. Reliving the terrifying moment, Lina said she was at work in a recruitment office meters away from where Lilia was stabbed while playing with her five-year-old sister. It all happened just “ten steps” away from her, she told The Sunday Mirror. He said: “On that fateful day I was giving a present to my friend when the children were playing outside my windows. “As I ran around the corner, I heard someone call to me, ‘Mom!’ “I come out and see how my little girl was standing a meter away from the big one and she was just bleeding to death.” The death of the nine-year-old girl has caused a “deep shock” to the locals of Boston The mother of Lithuanian national Deividas Skebas (pictured) said she would ‘take care of everything she can’ The family is currently raising money to place a sculpture near the site of the murder. Lina told her fellow Lithuanian mother Daiva, who is believed to have a flower shop in Lithuania, about the plan to collect donations, but she said she “didn’t have the money”, Delfi Plus news agency reported. An inquest this week found Lilia died from a single stab wound and was identified by her stepfather, Aurelius Savikas. Skebas was remanded in custody at Lincoln Crown Court. The hearing is set for September 19. Skebas came from the industrial town of Utena in northeastern Lithuania where members of his family still live. He is said to have moved to the UK and then back home, before returning to Boston recently – and working as a fruit picker while he was here.
