The family of a man believed to have drowned late last year have launched a fundraiser in his memory. Adolfo Ferreira and his friend Michael Gill disappeared during a hunting trip in central Newfoundland on November 14. They are believed to have drowned after their boat was found capsized. Ferreira’s friend Laura Cross says she felt the need to honor his life in a way that would give back to the community. He organized a motorcycle show with all proceeds going to search and rescue. Cross says motorcycles were one of Ferreira’s passions and he would be delighted to see a rally named after him. He says his neon-colored motorcycle and bright blue Jeep were placed front and center at the event as a symbol of his “bright and bold personality.”
