Debbie and her partner Leon woke up to discover the silver Vauxhall Mokka next to her Outmore Road garage, Garrett’s Green. The mother of two says that although she has contacted the police, she can not remove the car from her property.
Debbie said West Midlands police confirmed Vauxhall had not been stolen, but said she was unable to move it as it was a civil rather than a criminal matter, according to Birmingham Live.

“It’s like the car fell from the sky,” he said. “It’s an absolute mystery. We do not understand how or why this happened, but since the owner did not return all week, we suspect it’s due to someone who sold a space on my way near the airport.”
“We went to bed at about 10.30pm on Tuesday night (April 12th) and when my partner woke up the next morning, he was parked on our way,” Debbie added. “The arrogant c * ts opened my gate and parked it and closed the gates after leaving it on the grass.
“The policeman who came to see us said that he had never seen anything like it in all his years. I’m disgusted because there is no law that prevents anyone from parking on your street.
“It’s perfectly legal, so the police can not help. However, if we tried to move it and destroy it, then we would have committed a criminal offense. Children can not even play outside in the car now, if they kick a ball or something and I accidentally destroy it “.

Debbie has appealed to Facebook, but no one has appeared to claim the vehicle. The tire is chained, so if and when the driver returns, they will have to knock on her door and explain why they parked there.
“Police said there are parking apps used by scammers to advertise unsuspecting people’s lanes as parking lots and charge car owners a fee,” Debbie said. “I want answers – when, how, why and to whom did you pay?
“We just have to sit and wait for the owners to come back. It’s a complete joke. I’m furious and disgusted that any Tom, Dick and Harry can park in your car and there is nothing you can do about it.”
Because a driveway is part of a property, someone who parks while driving is technically considered a violation, which is a civil offense and not a criminal one, explained John Charnock of Stress Free Car Rental. He also said that if a car has an updated MOT, tax, insurance and is not able to pose a risk to anyone around, the council is also powerless to move it.
