Merseyside police launched an investigation into the murder after the incident in the city center on Saturday night. The force said emergency services were called to an internet cafe on London Road around 5.50pm. after a report that an 18-year-old man had been attacked. The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance but was pronounced dead, police said. DCI Terry Davies said London Road would be crowded at the time of the incident and called anyone with information to contact.
