A spokesperson for the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office tells TMZ … the rapper was booked and processed Sunday on a charge of first-degree rape, as well as charges related to domestic abuse, assault by strangulation, false imprisonment and damage. We’re told no bond has been set and he has yet to see a judge. As for what allegedly happened to prompt this latest arrest… the Sheriff’s Office says their deputies responded to a hospital for a reported sexual assault and interviewed the alleged victim themselves. Based on that interview and the apparent minor injuries the officers say this person sustained … they felt there was enough room to go get Mystikal and slap the cuffs on him. The investigation is ongoing. BTW, Mystikal has faced similar accusations before — including somewhat recently. You’ll recall… he was accused of rape in the same state in 2017 — but won the case when the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence. He was also accused of sexual assault in 2003, to which he pleaded guilty and served 6 years of hard time. We reached out to his representatives for comment, so far we have not heard back.
