Sean Sweeney made his first public comments about the horrific incident in a Facebook post on Sunday. His wife, 25-year-old Kassandra Sweeney, and their 4-year-old son Benjamin and 1-year-old son Mason were found dead in their home on Wethersfield Drive in Northfield on Aug. 3. Autopsies showed each died of a single gunshot wound, and the medical examiner ruled all three deaths homicides. No arrests have been made and no charges have been filed yet. However, Attorney General John Formella said Friday that they have identified everyone involved in the shooting. “Thanks to everyone who has spent the last few days making sure random idiots on the internet are properly informed and while I’m still unable to confirm anything about what happened and who is responsible, I can’t say enough words for those who just know better and get in the way to have my name dragged through the mud and to make sure the rest of the world knows that my beautiful wife was the most amazing, caring, sweetest person you could ever meet and how much she loved our boys,” Sweeney said in his post on Sunday. “It’s our job now to keep their memories alive,” he added. “They will forever be loved and missed and forever in my heart.” Formella said Friday that investigators spoke with Sean Sweeney. “The father is someone we have been in contact with who has been very cooperative and helpful in this investigation. Our victim witness advocate is working with him and his family to provide services. He is obviously very devastated as a result of these crimes,” Formella told reporters.
