Updated: 20:59, 31 July 2022 Norfolk’s Lauren Hebb helped England to Euro 2022 glory in a thrilling final against Germany at Wembley. The Lionesses had taken the lead shortly after the hour mark through Ella Toone, but Germany scored a superb equalizer 11 minutes later to take the game into extra time. It looked like a well-known story of a penalty shoot-out against Germany – until Chloe Kelly tapped home from Hebb’s corner in the 110th minute to seal victory in front of 87,192 UEFA tournament fans. She told the BBC in an interview that was interrupted so she could sing ‘Sweet Caroline’ with her bandmates: “Oh my God, look at them, it’s amazing, thank you to every single person who has supported us. This is unreal…Sweet Caroline! “It’s amazing, thank you all, this is how dreams come true, as a young girl watching women’s football. Wow, this is incredible.”
